When a donor gives blood, blood banks use different components of the donation to create different products for different diseases and treatments. Normally, the blood bank knows what blood type you have after their examinations initital and also what their blood clotting factor (hemoglobin). This helps determine which type of donor, what you and bags they drain the blood. Some people have used a larger number of hemoglobin and other blood products, because for platelets in the blood platelet collection is easy.

Blood donation is a painless procedure, but they are afraid, if you, for the first time. Donations to help the community strong and does not cause long term damage to the donor.
I have blood in my life since the age of 18 years. I know that I do my best to others, not so healthy, and knowing that I'm doing well in helping yourself.

Platelets are blood cells
Platelets are managed by a process called apheresis, where a pint of blood taken from his body and then processed and the plasma is mixed with saline solution) (water with low salt concentrations, is your body back. This process is repeated, so that the platelets from two liters of blood, plasma, but all were returned. The experience takes about half an hour to an hour and is very cold, when the plasma is returned, because they remained at room temperature and used the needle is reduced to the less it hurts, and because it has more fluid in their veins, even fewer exhausted. To enter, platelets must be an iron slightly above that for whole blood, but apart from that the requirements are the same. In addition to wait 112 days between donations instead of 56

No, only donations of blood and platelets removed from the blood. They contribute to the formation of blood clots (if you do not bleed to death) and the maintenance of homeostasis
