There are several ways to do this. You've probably already seen the old groups of half-a-truck design collection of the trailer. Or get many angles and welding of the frame. A Dodge Caravan rear axle and the springs seem to work well in a trailer. Or you could do that, what I did. I bought a cheap boat trailer house, went on such a ship and made a bed for two old bed frame and the wood. Thanks for the reminder ... to sign the title of the person in the wrong place, I call.
mate thats very ambiguous issue, it is not easy under any circumstances, and I am an automotive engineer for 30 years.
You first need to shape an image pref with wheels (or if it takes years), then an edge (steel or alloy is pref), then pan to the floor.
In good faith attempt to keep things simple but not easy.
If you need drawings of a particular model that could help is always easier to go to a local scrap yard and find half so good, repair and restoration
